During a series of activities developed at universities in Tirana, Durrës, and Elbasan, the Nexus organization organized a series of workshops focused on the topics of cyber security and information privacy. These workshops were an excellent opportunity for students to become aware and informed about the safeguards needed to secure their systems and information in this digital age.
The main goal of these workshops was to sensitize students to the importance of cyber security and information privacy, essential topics for anyone operating in the digital environment. The invited experts discussed the measures that can be taken to protect personal data and systems from cyber attacks, stressing that individuals also have responsibility for the security of their information.
Discussions also focused on the most common online threats, including phishing, malware and ransomware, as well as methods that can be used to prevent such attacks. Students were advised to use techniques such as encryption, two-factor authentication and strong password management to protect their data.
Another important aspect of these workshops was the promotion of the creation of the first Hacker Community in Albania. This community aims to bring together individuals who are passionate about technology and cyber security, to share knowledge, experience and promote the creation of a network of professionals who can contribute to the protection of the digital space in the country.
During these meetings, students had the opportunity to learn more about "Black Hat 2.0 Albania," an event expected to have a major impact on cyber security in Albania.
